while training the nation's top clinicians to further serve the Cambodian population.

Vision

and quality healthcare for all in Cambodia.

Overview

Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope (SHCH), established in 1996, is one of the leading non-governmental hospitals in Cambodia. SHCH's mission is to provide affordable, quality healthcare to those living in Cambodia in poverty while training the nation's top clinicians to further serve the Cambodian population.

SHCH's facilities have emergency care, in-patient medical wards, surgical services, and a well-established Infectious Disease Department that supports one of the country's most long-standing cohorts of people living with HIV and provides cutting-edge diagnosis and treatment for TB. Well known throughout the country's rural areas, patients arrive at the SHCH's triage area each morning for screening and treatment of a variety of illnesses and complaints. SHCH acts as a referral hospital and often receives patients in the advanced stages of a disease.

SHCH's services include laboratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and pathology. The laboratory is one of the few in the country delivering quality-assured microbiology diagnosis, resulting in several scientific publications and nationally acting as a best-practice model. SHCH is recognized by the Ministry of Health (MoH) as a training and research institution, with training programs delivered to over 500 health professionals each year. The laboratory, radiology, nursing, pharmacy, and surgical departments are the primary training sites for medical students from the University of Health Sciences and other private universities.   Training programs are also delivered with international volunteers, who act as short-term advisors in specific areas. SHCH currently has over 200 Cambodian staff.

The hospital's administration includes Finance, Procurement, and Warehouse, Human Resources, Information Technology, Medical Records, and Communications and Development.
